Flooring and Wall Coverings
Matching walls and floors, identifying the colors and materials that work best together, is not an easy choice.
You could let your personal taste guide you or google “how to match floors and walls”. But are we sure that rules really exist?
We at Devincenti Multiliving believe that every home should be designed specifically based on each person’s requirements and needs.
What we want to give you, therefore, are not rules but three simple tips that can be useful for choosing flooring and wall coverings for your new home.
3 TIPS FOR HOME DECORATING
#1 THERE ARE NO RULES
Flooring and wall coverings today meet very different design needs. Until a few years ago, it was thought that each room had its ideal flooring: ceramic tiles for the kitchen, marble for the living room and parquet for the bedroom. Today there are no rules, but you choose the covering that best suits your needs. If you have limited surfaces, we recommend choosing a single floor for the entire house, being bold on the walls with wallpaper. If the space is very large, you can choose different floors creating a mix&match effect.
#2 MADE IN ITALY CRAFTSMANSHIP
We at Devincenti Multiliving work with 90-100% Italian companies because we believe in the importance of territorial development and have established long-term partnerships with various local companies.
#3 LET YOURSELF BE INSPIRED BY COLORS
Home coverings must communicate energy and balance. Two elements to keep in mind when designing the color mood board are the room dimensions and the intensity of colors, more or less reflective.
An evaluation based on space, brightness and the intended use of the environment is necessary to achieve the right combination between floor and wall. Color yes, but well calibrated.
