When tradition meets contemporary style
There are furnishings that don’t belong to a specific era, but to all of them. Pieces that span decades without losing their strength, capable of renewing themselves every time they change context.
Baxter’s Chester Moon is one of these. A sofa that starts from the memory of the classic English Chesterfield and transforms it into a new, surprising icon, powerful in its simplicity.
It’s a demonstration of how design can preserve tradition, reinvent it, and offer it with a perspective that belongs to the present.
The design piece to know: Chester Moon by Baxter
Designed by Paola Navone in 2009, Chester Moon is the result of extraordinarily precise craftsmanship. Each individual tufted button is made by hand, with ancient and patient gestures that embroider the surface of the sofa as if it were a precious fabric.
Its lines soften the rigidity of the classic English model: the volume becomes fluid, soft, welcoming. The leather, the exclusive upholstery material, adds a unique narrative value: every mark, every nuance becomes part of the object’s story.
Chester Moon doesn’t imitate, doesn’t recall: it’s a piece of furniture that lives with its own identity. Already an icon, from the day of its birth.
The evolution of a style that never goes out of fashion
Tufted upholstery has always been a symbol of elegance and refinement. But today, with the rediscovery of soft shapes and generous volumes, it takes on a new meaning.
No longer just rigor and classicism, but a fluid, emotional gesture that invites comfort and sharing. Chester Moon represents this transformation: it manages to dialogue with minimalist environments as well as spaces rich in texture, always remaining at the center of the scene.
It’s a sofa that doesn’t follow trends: it goes through them.

Our view on design: interpretations and advice
In our showrooms, Chester Moon finds its ideal dimension: an absolute protagonist in essential spaces, or part of a richer composition, where fabrics, woods, and stones create a choral narrative.
Our advice?
Choose it if you want to give your living room personality, depth, and character. Perfect on its own, surprising next to lighter elements, with which it creates an unexpected balance.
Discover it in our showrooms: touch the leather, experience the proportions, let yourself be enveloped.
Because there are objects that don’t just please. They stay.
And we are Made of Design.
Until the next edition, with new stories, objects, and trends that redefine the way we live in spaces.
